The Nations Capital

Spent  the week in DC.
My last trip to this city as a touron was when I was in 6th grade and at that time, I cared more about the pool at the hotel and girls then actually learning anything, so I thought it would be a cool change of pace to revisit some of the museums that I had no recollection of from my previous adolescent visit.

Monday, didn’t really do anything other than sleep and hang out.  The weather was overcast, cloudy and rainy so I couldn’t use the pool.
Tuesday  I got to spend the evening with some of the WUS crew at Cleveland park bar and grill.  It was great to see and hang out with such wonderful people.  The pizza was awesome.
Wednesday:  spent time walking around the city, visited the National Gallery of Art(trying to add a little culture to my life), the National History Museum.  The best part of the National history museum were the pictures of the year exhibit.  Also visited the Smithsonian Castle.
Thursday:  Toured the American Indian Museum to learn a little bit about my people, The Air and space Museum and Hirshorn Museum.  Out of all the Museums I visited, Hirshorn was my favorite.
Friday:  Spent the day at the National Zoo and watched a turtle rape another turtle.
Saturday:  All day by the pool.  If your life was as hard as mine, how would you cope?

Glad you got some culture and educational fun in. SO GREAT having you at WUS -- that was one of the best WUS gatherings in recent history.

It would be tough to cope with that life. I need structure. If my teenage summers were any indication I'd end up sleeping all day, and playing nerdy computer games or reading all night. :)
